We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Breast. We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £48,998 - £58,790 per annum.

Our dedicated cancer centre which comprises of 8 floors, including state-of-the-art radiotherapy & chemotherapy suites as well as 47 dedicated patient bedrooms. With the latest advances in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, we treat an extensive range of cancers.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.

Master’s degree (or working towards) in relevant field/or equivalent/higher post graduate qualification.

Post- Graduate Diploma in Breast Clinical Specialty or the equivalent

Considerable post registration experience in an acute hospital setting within Breast Cancer Care.

Level 2 psychological trained

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team.

Significant post-registration clinical experience.

 

Duties

To be responsible and accountable for own practice within the clinical area and for delivering a quality service for all stakeholders.

To achieve the highest possible standard of nursing care that balances patient and family/carer experience with the most efficient use of resources.

To provide leadership in clinical practise and act as a resource and a role model for specialist practice.

To be a highly visible, inclusive and approachable role model to all staff within the breast team and Hospital.

To acts as the go-to person for the MDT and patients with respect to patient cancer and surgical pathways for patients under TLC care.
