We have an exciting opportunity for an Anaesthetic Practitioner/Nurse to join our Operating Theatres department. This post is located at our main hospital site in Central London, and we are offering a competitive salary range of £35,743 - £42,956 per annum plus unsociable hours shift enhancements.

Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: We operate a flexible shift pattern covering the service from Monday to Sunday, with participation in the on-call rota.
Salary: The attractive salary range for this role is £35,743 - £42,956 plus shift enhancements, and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties
Work as a skilled member of the anaesthetic team, providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload, whilst assisting and supporting the anaesthetic physician and consultant anaesthetists.
Carry out nursing/ODP duties within an anaesthetic area according to policies and procedures, contributing to quality improvement, and promoting best evidence based practice.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and stock managed to ensure economical use of all resources.
Liaise and communicate with HSDU, recovery, theatre staff and floor nurses to facilitate the provision of excellent patient care.
Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for our patients, customers and visitors.

Requirements
RGN / ODP qualified practitioner (NMC or HCPC registration).
Recognised anaesthetic course is advantageous.
Experience working as an Anaesthetics Practitioner/ODP with strong knowledge and experience in anaesthetics and an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients.
Good communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Highly motivated individual who is punctual, adaptable and continually maintains a professional image.
